Pulwama, March 01 (KNO) : Clashes have erupted between government forces and youth in main town Pulwama after forces tried to seal Jamaat e Islami district office Pulwama. Sources said that as soon as news of sealing Jamaat district office spread in the area, youth took to streets and pelted stones on government forces which was retaliated by smoking tear smoke and sound shells. Earlier authorities had raided the office and were present at the Dar ul Huda, the district office of Jamaat e Islami opposite district hospital Pulwama at the time of clashes. The move comes following central government's decision to ban the prominent socio - economic religious organisation on Thursday, days after arresting hundreds of active members of the organisation. As per locals forces are there at the Jamaat district office yet and clashes were also going near the office.(KNO)
